Terrible accident in Moto2 involving Shoya Tomizawa, Scott Redding & Alex De Angelis.
Marshals were disgraceful, dropped his stretcher and also rolled Neil Redding on to his stretcherl.

Update on Scott Redding. He's had stitches for a bad laceration to his back, but physically he's OK. Alex de Angelis escaped without injury.

Very, very sad, especially as it comes only a week after Peter Lenz was killed at Indy. I guess we're all thinking of the families and wish the injured a speady recovery.

Awful news. Just awful and brings back painful memories of Daijiro.

Another tragic reminder of how motorsport, despite improving safety standards, is still bloody dangerous and that the participants show courage and determination in the face of it.

The marshals were a disgrace ,basically lobbing him on the stretcher ,which they at one point dropped ,all they were interested in was trying to remove him as quickly as possible at all cost.no attention to any neck or spinal injuries,it was like the Keystone cops

I hope there will be an inquest on the disgusting way Shoya was treated bundling him onto a stretcher just to get him off the track with blatant disregard how bad his injuries were.

The only proper course of action would have been to stop the race and make sure everything was done to stabilise Tomizawa before moving him.

That press conference is just arse-covering as to why they didn't red flag it. Shameful.

Let's hope they learn from this.

i dont know enough about clerking motorbike races to say what the correct course of action should have been but i do agree that a red flag would have delayed things, the doctor already stated that intensive care began behind the track barriers? stopping the race would surely have only led to more complications.
