Perspex Windscreens - Thinkness

Anyone know what thinkness of Perpex screens
They're actually polycarbonate.I only mention this in case you're thinking of using perspex, because perspex has a tendency to shatter and be less impact resistant thant polycarbonate.
It also scratches more easily.
If you need to pass any sort of scrutineering then you'll probably need to go with polycarbonate - you *may* be able to use perspex for, say, rear door windows, but wouldn't like to say for sure.
are we talking thickness here? ive not heard of thinkness before, and 3 times in 1 thread before the end of the 1st page.
if it is the thickness you are after i believe around 6mm is fine, if you are asking for/about thinkness i really am stumped.

try this:

Makrolon® AR is a coated Polycarb, and at 4mm can withstand stones etc. and more importantly, can stand the wipers going on it without scratching, it's also just about flexible enough to do curved screens without heat forming.

Anyone know what's the best thing to cut it with.
I use one of these air cutters http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/... but as has been said you need to be careful not to melt it.jagracer said:
