Went to the Speed on Tweed yesterday. For those not familar (most I would say) it is a historic speed event similar in nature to Goodwood FOS held around the streets of Murwillumbah (a town in Northern NSW, Australia)

There is a good selection of ex racing cars usually there, not often really high end stuff, but there has been a few 70s and 80s formula one cars and usually quite a few 50s and 60s F1 F2 cars.

Anyway, got a good snap of a famous motor racing identity on the right in the picture below. I'll see how long it takes for someone to recognise him. (I don't think the other 2 are famous but I may be wrong)

I agree, it's Jenson Button.

Or maybe Jack Brabham.

on the money, Sir Jack Brabham, Formula One Champion 1959, 1960 & 1966.

Managed to get a photo with him also, which was pretty good, always pays to have your camera ready at these things.

Anyone else have a pic they have taken of someone famous in motorsport up close and personal?

Doesn't look like he'll be at The Revival this year, sadly. If you are into seeing legends "close up and personal", you'd think all your chistmasses had come at once if you take a flight over to the UK and spend the summer at the various historic events over here. At the two Goodwood events, you really do bump into racing drivers at every corner as it were....

yes, have been to Goodwood FOS a number of times, sadly not the revival yet. I bumped into Malcolm Wilson and Jenson Button (2007), that's as far as my luck extended... Maybe next time. (I would actually really like to see Jay Kay from Jamoorooquai mixing it with the fans as he apparently does)

Brabham is looking a bit healthier than when he was on tellybox a few months back. He looked very frail and grey then.

Here is a bit of fun from Brabham and Fangio supposedly not racing during a demo run.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fbc5U6wTfUw

Nah its not Perkins.
He's still active in Aussie touring cars and looks nothing like that guy.
