Some of the guys seem to be running with 17" wheels all-round without any problems, so people have recommended going 17" rear 16" front.
Currently running 16" rear 15" front.
Just wondered what the pro's and cons are of each, advantage of 17" is getting cheaper nearly new rubber from ex touring cars, plus wider rubber should help with grip.

The other option is to run ex Tuscan 16 x 9 OZ split rims, as I have quite a few of these (9 I think)

We have the space and time now to make wider arches to fit what ever is going to be best, plus I won a free set of tyres of any size, so now is the best time to change.

used rubber can be a waste of time, especialy from the big budget series as its much softer than the stuff we use, and by the time its got a heat cycle or 2 through it its buggered.

Thank Graham, any opinions on size though as I'm going to be able to get 1 free set of tyres, and the new rear's I put on at the start of this season, lasted me the whole season.

Look like I'll be going the Ex Tuscan 16"x9" oz wheels route.

Ours is currently 17 rear ad 16 front - but for next year I'll be running 17 all round and using ex touring car tyres - I could put a 'fresh' set of these on every time out and still spend less than a new set...lol.

Well that's my thinking about going 17's all round also, esp once your car had suspension that was not broken it seem to handle ok, shame you not got a DL1 to compare G readings.
