so, a little under a fortnight until we go to brazil, and with button conceding his title hopes, and fingers practically out of it now, will we finally see them asked to support team mates in the title run in?

Sadly, I don't think there's much hope for Hamilton given RedBulls strong form. If anything, I suspect the RedBull dominance to continue and Vettel to outperform Webber in qualifying (at the very least, be in front of both Alonso and Hamilton). If Vettel will help Webber will depend on how strong Webber is and if he can keep up (meaning right behing Vettel if not in front already).
The only way I see Hamilton having a chance is if he and the team somehow find a way in front of the RedBulls to a win in Brazil.
I don't see Button being much help regardless.

Ferrari keep making statements that 'everything is fine' but you can bet RBR thought that right up to the point Vettel's engine disintergrated!
Should be good for Massa. How hard is Brazil on engines? Most drivers are on their last or re using older ones, so a lot of them must be getting fragile by now. There could be some first corner stuff going on too

I think Ferrari have very real gearbox and engine issues - they've been through all their allocations. They've used more gearboxes than they would of ideally have done at this point.
They have one engine left - that they replaced at the first race because of issues in testing. They can use that engine for the last race only. (don't ask me the rules that govern that !)
Renault are looking great on the engine front - they actually are the only team with a fresh engine for both drivers.

That's intersting stuff. Alonso's already done 4 races with his current engine. That's got to be a risk. Vettel will be on engine 9 at Brazil, so will he get a 10 place grid drop? Webber had a fresh engine in Korea, so he's looking in good shape. Poor old Heidfled already has 5 races on his 9th engine. That can't be good.
