That was great to watch, the 2nd race for the battle to the end, the first race for the action and just the spectacle of big heavy cars being thrown round that circuit - fantastic to watch.
the guy who won race one was so luck to get the black flag rescinded he clearly he should have come in, fluid leek, bodywork on tyre and then a headlight falling out how much did they bribe the organisers to keep him on track?!
I think Prilaux, JV, Bourdais put on a good display of the non regular drivers.

I'd love to see all the different touring car competitions have a race to compare the cars BTCC, DTM, V8, etc. I think the JGTC would be the quickest.
One of the mini interviews during the race, one of the BTCC drivers says that the V8's are a lot more powerful, but don't like stopping or turning.

Tander was dam lucky in race 1. Didn't Whincup cop a black flag for loose bodywork earlier this year, (which the offending item then fell off), towards the end of a race, just after a Safety Car, hence dropping him a load of spots? How come GT's black flag got withdrawn? I thought that mechanical black flags couldn't be reversed?
Talking of black flags, I fail to understand how Courtney got one on one of the re-starts? The cynic in me suspects that the championship may be unfairly closed up???
Dissapointed in Van Gisbergen a little as well. Edge of the seat stuff at the end of race 2, and I was desperatly hoping that he would throw one up the inside, which would also let Frosty past Whincup as well, thus taking valuble points away from Whincup. Must say, I'm quite suprised that Giz didn't have more of a crack at taking the spot. He must of known that Whincup wasn't going to let him have it cheap.
So, Courtney or Whincup for championship honours? Yet again Team Voda made some silly mistakes pitstop wise. Just what was going on with the tyres when Lowndes was waiting for Whincup to leave the box? I cant believe that Team Voda didn't get points deducted for that, especially as they left a torque wrench out in the transit lane of the pits later on.
Besides any more little slip-up's like above from Roland Danes merry men, I honestly can't see them being stopped. Courtney and DJR are good, but as much as it pains me to say, overall they are not a match for Whincup and Triple 8.
During the race the commentators explained that Courtney was black flagged for accelerating, then braking after the safety car had pulled in for the re-start. But yet GT did exactly the same thing. Were family members of Garth acting as stewards that weekend?

Reason I ask is they all jump the chicane and make places by doing so but don't seem to get penalised.
For instance:
In the start of Race 19, someone straighlines the chicane and comes out ahead of Villeneuve
And at the end of Race 20, both 1st and 2nd straightline it, the 2nd place Vodafone car actually coming out ahead by doing so (while 3rd place goes around and loses a load of time).
Perhaps they should put some slight ridges in there so at least you get a mechanical penalty.
Just seems a waste to have chicanes in...
If you gain a place (or hold a place you wouldn't have otherwise) by cutting a chicane you're supposed to redress and give the position back - most of the drivers do, and black flags have been dished out often enough to those who don't.
The one at the end of race two Whincup (Vodafone car) didn't have to concede the place because it was Van Gisbergen who couldn't pull the car up on the inside, causing them both to cut it. If Van Gis had gotten the car turned in and Whincup had cut across then he would have had to concede the place.
