Apparently the seller had no use for it , he was after the body work , so can only assume it was a complete car ??

I will have to ask him how he got the roll cage out of the bodyshell as have read on here that it is not possible without cutting the shell ?

Oh yes , I won it.....

would love to rebuild it as a tuscan trackday car but cost may prevent that. I have a taimar that needs a new chassis so may see it body can be modified to fit ( not likely ) otherwise we may be calling the chaps who make the 5000M bodyshells. I did bid on the shell that was on ebay a few weeks back but as had no chassis then was only half hearted in my bidding and missed it.
I saw an old thread last night that someone else has had the same idea , must chase him up to see where he has got to with it.

Cheers for now...

any old cheap parts gratefully purchased

Hi All,

has anyone got any used front suspension components for sale ?
I am looking for wishbones , uprights , front and rear anti roll bars.

I have the rear wishbones and uprights/hubs for this chassis which the seller included in the sale for a good price. But he brought it without any front end so had no chance to haggle for these parts.
I have no further info on the original car this chassis came from other than it was blue when dismantled ( obviously this could have changed over the years but the chassis only has blue paint , no other paint layers ). The seller said he thought it had past connections to Wayne Phelan and/or Topcats racing.

Cheers
Geoff.

John Reid is your best man for the front wishbones, the problem will be getting the front uprights, they are getting rare. JR will probably know where to look though.

I think Richard wright has used some different uprights hubs, so may be worth talking to.

IIRC nobody has used the rear arb with much success, so most dont have them on.

Thanks for that info Graham , I am aware that John can supply new parts ( or does He have used ones too ) but I thought I would ask about used ones first to keep the cost down a bit if possible.
No rear a-r bar will not be a problem.
"Wadsapple" has dropped me an email about his front A-R bar so will contact Him soon. Again fortunately the aluminium mounting brackets for the front A-R bar were still fitted to the chassis.
I have a pair of front uprights from a ford scorpio cosworth which are used by several kit cars so I wonder if they could be used ? ( custom made wishbones required of course.)

Cheers
Geoff
