This is how the Red Bull managed to be so quick, it used an upward flexing floor assembly, upward flex wasn't tested for in the 2010 regs, only a load was applied to check for flexing downwards. This allowed the Red Bull to run the front of the chassis on the ground under aero load, without unloading the suspension, this lowered the front wing height and improved ground effect, it also gave a reduced diasadvantage for the setup changes that occured as the weight came off as the fuel burned during the race.Furthermore, the bodywork being tested in this area may not include any component which is capable of allowing more than the permitted amount of deflection under the test load (including any linear deflection above the test load), such components could include, but are not limited to:
