This is how the Red Bull managed to be so quick, it used an upward flexing floor assembly, upward flex wasn't tested for in the 2010 regs, only a load was applied to check for flexing downwards. This allowed the Red Bull to run the front of the chassis on the ground under aero load, without unloading the suspension, this lowered the front wing height and improved ground effect, it also gave a reduced diasadvantage for the setup changes that occured as the weight came off as the fuel burned during the race.

So there goes the big Red Bull advantage for next years cars, McLaren and Ferrari will be back in the fight, unless of course Adrian comes up with another gem.

bloody heck they are clever sods are... hats off to Red Bull. I for one Love the tec side of F1 and seeing how they find loop holes etc to get the cars going quicker and quicker each year. I did like the idea and McLaren's work on the 'F' Duct.

Looking forward to the 4pot's for 2012 just to see how they work with them.
