McLaren were the best value team of the 2010 season according to Formula Money, which publishes an annual report detailing the financial side of the sport.

The Woking based team's budget of £135 million ($210m) for the 2010 season bought them 454 points or, £295,000 ($460k) per point.

Red Bull came in second, managing to score 498 points from their £170m ($265m) budget, meaning they spent £340k ($530k) per point.

Ferrari's massive budget of £250m ($390m) resulted in 396 points which works out at £630k ($990k) each, more than double what McLaren invested per point.

From the little i know Red Bulls budget was by far the largest budget on the grid. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned a couple of times during the season.

I can't remember who said it, when or even if they did but didn't one of the top RB chaps claim at one GP their spending was 'lower mid-range'?

Dietrich Mateschitz said this around the time of Red Bull's staff bonus bonanza:

But as llewop said, I'm it's something Horner's mention it a few times too

And it go's to show. It's not just how much money you spend. But who you spend it on.

I'd think the best value (points) for money person in the entire circus last year was either Adrian Newey, or someone sitting very near him.
