British GP 2011 Friday General Admission?

I've not been to the BGP since about 2001, but went to quite a few test sessions in the recent past (last one 2008). I want to go again before the 2013 regs, in order to allow my 4 year old son to experience what a contemporary F1 car should sound like before it's too late.
From memory, there is about 3 hours of F1 practice on Friday, albeit sometimes a bit fragmented?
Looking at getting General Admission tickets, but am undecided whether to go on Friday or just bend over and pay the stupid amount of money to go on Sunday.
On Sunday, is it fairly easy to walk around the G.A. areas, or is it too crowded these days?
Will G.A. tickets allow access to Village and the Wellington straight areas?
And parking: For G.A. do you have a choice depending on the area you want to view from?

If you want to see anything good on Sunday from the GA areas then you need to arrive silly early and just sit - thats really not going to be possible with a little one is it.
If its just to see / hear the cars then Friday will be fine - since you last went in 2001 they've severely limited the testing time allowed - so the cars tend to lap pretty much solidly for a couple of hours in the morning and in the afternoon as its basically the only test time they get.

That was the idea really, so it's sounds like a good plan.IIRC, last time I went for the race we were at Copse, got there stupidly early, and sat in an almost deserted spectator area for 7 hours. It remained fairly deserted all day TBH.
Big shame they banned testing; back in 2008 I managed to get pits passes. That would have been ideal for next year!
