Lotus-Renault's (the Asian one) black & gold livery........

That isn't being used next year because Lotus-Renault (the Anglo-French one) is using Black & Gold instead and Lotus-Renault (the Asian one) will use a Green/Yellow scheme again.

Isn't it strange how quickly we adapt? I looked at that and thought it looked very good indeed; a really, really pretty racing car.

Yet, it was only a sort while ago that we first saw an F1 car with the stupid little rear wing, stupid snow plough front wing and thought there would never be a good looking F1 car again. Reminds me of the time the cars' track was massively reduced and the cars all looked stupid and thin and silly...until they started to look 'correct' again.

Contempt , disdain , scorn: imply strong feelings of disapproval and aversion toward what seems base, mean, or worthless. Contempt is disapproval tinged with disgust.

Back on topic: Must admit this does look bloody lovely! Really, really good.
Shame Team Lotus aren't going to use black and gold as well.
I appreciate the confusion it may cause - however, we survived when Force India looking like McLaren during 2008 and, we have lasted this long with Red Bull and Toro Rosso.

IMO, Team Lotus (Mike and Tony,) deserve the black and gold livery.
They have BUILT up a team - not bought into it. They started with a few staff and have grown and grown and grown. That to me, is Lotus.

It could be the british mentality of supporting the underdog, but - ever since Mike came out and explained his [realistic] yearly goals for the team, giving open/ honest and direct answers to any and all questions put to him. He's a winner, the team is on a winning path.

Group Lotus should either join in with Team Lotus and unite the brand (albeit against Chapmans initial concept.) Or, they should remain a manufacturer with a few offbeat and varied race entries for promotional and public awareness.
