Red Victor 3 At Autosport Show (And Other Dates)

The PH smiley-supported drag racer's 2011 engagements are revealed

What a lucky, lucky logo...

After getting a taste for high speeds hitching a ride on the rear wing of the Beechdean Mansell LMP1 Le Mans car last year, The PH smiley is going drag racing in 2011 - and you'll be able to see the car he's running with at the Autosport/PistonHeads show next weekend at the NEC.

For its runs down the hallowed quarter-mile, the smiley is going to be riding on Red Victor 3, the labour of love of PHer Andy Frost that he intends to turn into the fastest street-legal drag racer in the world.

Andy's been campaigning Red Victor on the drag strip for more than 20 years, and this third iteration is set to be the fastest yet, with 3000bhp from its 8.8-litre V8. Which is quite a lot. You'll be able to have a closer look at just how RV3 is going to do all this at the NEC next weekend, and no doubt get a chance to quiz the Red Victor team, too.

As well as its PH show appearance, RV3 will also be strutting its stuff at the following events:

• Easter Thunderball, Santa Pod raceway 22nd to 25th April.
• FIA the Main Event, Santa Pod raceway 27th to 30th May
• Performance Vauxhall show, Santa Pod raceway 11th to 12th June
• Summer Nationals, Santa Pod raceway 25th to 26th June
• Goodwood festival of speed, Goodwood 1st to 3rd July
• FIA Euro finals, Santa Pod raceway 8th to 11th September
• National finals, Santa Pod raceway 24th to 25 September
• Classic car show, NEC in November. Date to be confirmed
