Should Jenson Button throw in the towel?

Jenson is still in the field this year, however after his dismal display last year, should Button even be driving? The trouble is he is taking a seat up were a younger more talented driver could be. His dismal season proves the only thing Button had was not talent, just a good car under him.

Come on guys, its not trolling, its a piss take. Though i happen to agree that Schumi should throw in the towel. I only feel JB should sign for Force India or sommat. He is a legend at bringing a team on, thats where his skills should be focused now he has had a title.I say "sod that" - Jenson had enough time toddling around at the back in his Honda (might as well have been a Jazz) and now he is a driver for McLaren. And that is a pretty nice job to have. And if anybody suggests he isn't a good driver, get them to put some custard next to their world champion trophy because they are the only people who should really be doing him down.
2010 was a bit special with so many drivers in the hunt. And imagine what would have happened if Jenson had not had the radiator baffle in place at Monaco?

Is this for real or has the OP missed a smilie?Did I miss something or not see last season. Did JB not win any races last year, or did he finish 14th in the championship. JB has earned his place at McLaren as he is one of the few drivers that can turn bad conditions to his advantage. No doubt Hamilton is quicker but not by much they make a very good pairing.
Lets not forget that Barrichello on a good day could live with Schumacher's pace at Ferrari and that was when Schumi was at his peak. Button completely dominated Barrichelo during their championship year and Barrichello is still showing good form at Williams.
I agree that Schumi should shuffle of to the retirement home he was nothing but a nuisance this year and is denting his reputation. He is also showing what a bully he can be as he drives a gp car like a german tank straight through anything that gets in his way. This may have been acceptable when he was winning at Ferrari but not any more. He cost some struggling teams unnecessary funds repairing the cars that he collided with. His move against the pit wall on Barichello last year should have cost him a two race ban as it would have done if it had been a rookie that had pulled that move
You have to wonder how much time Brawn/Merc Gp wasted last year trying to tailor the car to Schumi's requirements and if the time had been spent on Rosberg what could have been achieved.

I know this thread is a troll pisstake, but this goes for every driver in F1, good or bad. They should continue driving for as long as they want to and for as long as someone is willing to give them a seat. The people who own those seats should be, and are, the ones deciding if the older guy demanding the big paycheck is more valuable to them than the young hard charger waiting for a chance.
Schumacher / button / whoever's reputation is taking a beating today should only quit if their reputation is more important to them than having their favourite day job.

Im not saying he isn't good at McLaren, I am just saying he is better at dragging a small/struggling team up from the deck by their ears. If he want's to stay at McLaren, ok, but he is better used IMO as No.1 driver in a team that needs his experience than playing second fiddle to Lewis.
Imagine the chances Renault would have with JB and Kubica as their drivers!
