Slight change to my weekend plans should ensure this is a go-er. Oulton is a very chilly place in March, mind...

I remember the Easter meeting in (I think) 1996 when Dino Morelli demonstrated the then-current Lola F3000 car. There was ice on the ground and it was hell. And the British GTs in 2001 when that enormous accident occurred in the downpour. My race programme is still crinkled from the rain!

It happened directly in front of us. It was quite frightening - just sickening crunch after sickening crunch. It wasn't until after when I saw the video that I realised how lucky that marshall was, we just couldn't see in the spray and of course there was carnage everywhere! Poor Graham Nash...

If anyone is mad enough as well Anglesey has a BRSCC event on the next day, temperatures are set to be... chilly I'd imagine.

ETA; Rewatched the Oulton footage, now I see why they show marshals it as a reminder...

I couldn't change my plans so will be absent. Gutted. But excited to see old pals. Matt, I'm relying on you for awesome photos!
