Pedal Boxes

Folks some advice please to avoid a lot of trial and error and turning my floor into swiss cheese!

Are there any rules of thumb for positoning floor mounted pedal boxes, I thought for a long time I'd put the box in the most comfortable and efficient position for me, however I'm just re-visiting that area to do some other fettling and starting to question my previous positioning.

On a side note can anyone recommend a pedal box that will fit a Tasmin.
Also currently have a servo, but I guess with a pedal box this is not needed, how harder does this make breaking, or does having 2 master cylinders help this.

Anyone know the rules about the reservoirs can they be in the car or do they have to be in the engine bay.

The blue book says:
"5.2.1. Be fitted with bodywork including a driver (and passenger) compartment isolated from the engine, wet batteries, gearbox, hydraulic reservoirs, transmission shafts, chains, belts and gears, brakes, road wheels,their operating linkages and attachments, petrol/fuel tanks, oil tanks, water header tanks and catch tanks fuel system components."
