Has anyone travelled to Indianapolis from the UK with a tour company which they could recommend please?

When I went three years ago I organised it myself. Al you need to do is: -
1. Book your race tickets (www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com or call them)
2. Book a hotel in Indianapolis (try the usual chains). Make sure you include the night of the scheduled date of the race in your stay – if the race is postponed due to rain they run it the following day.
3. Return flight to Chicago.
4. Rental car & drive approx 200 miles each way.

Not used them myself but page and moy have been going for a while and heard mainly good things about them. Would be surprised if their not doing a trip.

Sorry I can't be more specific but hope it helps.

As has been suggested already when I did Indy for the Brickyard 400 we flew to Chicago, picked up a rental car and drove down to Indy. Dead easy drive took about 3.5 hours. Stayed in one of the downtown hotels and went out to Indy Raceway Park for the Friday / Saturday night Busch and Truck series races. Sunday we got the IndyGo shuttle bus from the RCA dome (this was before the blew it up) out to the Speedway. They drop you on Main Street at the junction with W 16th and just across from the Speedways main entrance. After the race obviously everyone is trying to go home at the same time but they have loads of buses so with a little patience its not too bad. The buses weave their way through some of the closed off roads around the speedway in an attempt to avoid the worst of the traffic.

Tkanks for the info - can anybody suggest travel operators other than Page and Moy who do continental racing trips. P & M don't seem to do any American trips now.
