Thats what an F1 cockpit should look like, the steering wheels are getting sillier every year.

Ferrari 641/2 - a proper race car.

Big fat sticky slicks, no stupid bodywork bits sprouting off anywhere, 3.5 litre V12.

Isnt this how all F1 cars should look & sound?

couldn't believe how it sounded when I heard Gerhard giving it a bit of wellie at a testing day at Silverstone. I stood in the complex because you couldn't go anywhere else but \i could hear every change of gear all around the circuit.... LOVELY

Always remember Spa 1994, sat on the banking just before the bus stop chicane and heard both the Ferrari's coming out of the pits for practice. You could hear the pair of them going round together and then blasting past us. 2 minutes of pure bliss. cloud9

F1 - the pinnacle of motorsport. Should be running V12's & what do we get? 2.4 litre V8's followed by 1.6 litre single turbo 4 cylinder engines.

Cant wait for those joyous sounds....

The sooner common sense prevails & we get proper engines again the better for F1 & the fans.

Spot on is this thread. Something just about the taper on the nose too, it's just the perfect angle. I respect flappy winglets but there's another side of beauty and purity when a car doesn't have them. This car didn't even need to be a championship winner to be beautiful. It just was. Flat bottom, fat slicks and massive wings (pic must be low downforce config, wings that era were usually massive). Most beautiful car of the 5 years either side of it!

Fantastic indeed.

Overtaking (around the outside!!!!!) without the need for assistance from the rear wing. Whoever thought that of stupid idea?

Personally i find it ridiculous but what would i know!! I would rather watch old school racing where talent, & mighty big balls, rules the day.
