How Indian are Force India?

And this paragraph got me thinking:
"There are some big developments in the pipeline, probably bigger than this team has seen for quite a while. I think we're looking for a much stronger finish to the season, and we do recognise the fact that there's an Indian GP on the calendar, and we are an Indian team. The plan is to be putting stronger performance on the car through the year that will lift us up the ranks."
I was under the impression they were based in England with majority English staff? I presume the Indian national anthem will be played if they win a race?

It seems that team ownership nationality is defined by the origin of the money in possession of the owner, regardless of location.Hence Red Bull being an Austrian team, Mercedes, German and why Toyota was Japanese despite being located in Colonge.
Just re-read my original post and it does sound a bit stupid but I am generally interested in the workings of the team and wondered how Indian they actually are. I remember Eddie Jordan saying it is in effect still the same core group of people at the same factory as when he ran the outfit.

The nationality of a team is officially designated using the location of the sporting authority they submit their application through. It is logical for a team based in the UK to submit their application through the Motor Sports Association (MSA) and race as a British team. However, in recent years a number of foreign owned teams have made their entries through other countries purely to race under different flags. I suspect that in recent years the team now known as Force India has raced as a British team, an Irish team, a Russian team, a Dutch team and an Indian team despite never once changing location.
Similarly drivers can change nationality by changing the country they submit their application through (for example, Ralph Firman).

...which is because that area has the richest talent pool of F1 skills and talent, suppliers, etc, in the world.There was an interesting article in F1 Racing magazine (rare, I know!) some while back that made a very good case for suggesting that had Toyota located itself in the UK, it would have become a very dominant force in the sport and why Renault, Mercedes and BMW (Sauber; an exception) have never attempted to set up shop in their homelands. Ferrari is just different.
