In a way, Renault. Fair enough, they benefit because they part own Infiniti, and that brand gets exposure, but I'd have thought it'd be better having Renault power (badged as Renault) would be better for their own marketing?Works fine for Red Bull though, same engine but for free
Is everyone forgetting that there is already a team called Renault and that by branding the red bull engines differently it gives a bigger profile to one of Renault/nissan sub brands.
Its just the same as when ford had the Jaguar racing team. The year before it was Stewart FORD but as they wanted to push Jags they changed it Jaguar.

actually not quite owned - more of an alliance
Signed on March 27, 1999, the Renault-Nissan Alliance is the first of its kind involving a Japanese and French car manufacturer, each with its own distinct corporate culture and brand identity. The same year, Renault appointed its own Chief Operating Officer, Carlos Ghosn, as Chief Operating Officer of Nissan and took a 22.5% stake in Nissan Diesel. Later that year, Nissan fired its top Japanese executives.
The Renault-Nissan Alliance has evolved over years to Renault holding 44.3% of Nissan shares, while Nissan holds 15% of Renault shares which does not give Nissan a voting or board representation due to legal restriction in France.
