I believe the 1145 time is CET, so 1045 in the UK.

finally, some decent racing with nothing to 'help drivers overtake'. so much more talent on show as far as im concerned. no diesels on the grid either which should be interesting

Yes I agree but the ACO needs to sort out the GT2 restrictions asap.

Graham Goodwin was commenting on RLM that they should do it for this race and not wait, JMB, Strakker, etc, should not be made to race at the back they are better than that and I agree.

Think it was the LMP2 cars rather than the GT2 cars he was talking about. In some cases the LM GTE-Am cars were gaining/pulling away from the LMP2 cars on the straights. Strakka and RML being particularly hit as they use the HPD engine. Certianly RML have been making noise about their restorctor since the Le Castellet test.

First action this morning at 8.

Interesting that the oldest "grandfather" car (RLR) on the grid was also the quickest of the group in qualifying. I really feel for the grandfather cars, as clearly RML and Strakka deserve better than they got. I'll post my colours with Team RLR - I've worked with them, and for a team working to a budget they are worth watching. Rob Garofall is probably the most under-estimated driver in LMS - quick and consistent with a great racing head - and Barry Gates is (I think) one of the better gentlemen drivers. Qualifying is all very well, but 6 hours of racing will really sort the men out from the boys.

The grandfathering per se isn't the main issue, it is the specific regulations and how they work with the HPD engines that is causing issues. They aren't even reaching maximum boost allowed.

I was aboutt o say whilst typing this 'race on' and then the GTE cars decided to get friendly. Carnage to start with.

Are we sure Aston haven't put a diesel in the AMR-One? Smoking like anything in places.

Just seen the replay of the start as I missed it, how laughable, amazing more cars weren't damaged really. The new Aston isn't going too badly at the moment.
