2:30 race (prods waved off after 2hrs), strangely running 13:15-15:45

Support races from a few thousand Mazdas (a slight -but not by much- exageration)

The race length seems to have been reduced by 30 minutes compared to the distance shown on the original calendar.

I was expecting 150 mins. If it changed it must have been ages ago because this one's been the case for ages.

Yup, looking forward to Rockingham. As long as it doesn't lash it down with about 20 mins to go like it did last year. Had no idea what happened in the last bit of the race as I was being a pansy and sheltering in a marshalls hut.

What a cruel mistress motorsport is - From Class 2 Champion to re-fueling monkey .. but there may be method in my madness ... You have to remember that this is by choice, not necessity my friends ...

Alas you will have to survive testing without me as I only return from more relaxed surrounding Friday afternoon, but should be in the bar in time for the first round on Friday evening Fear not however, I believe Hairy Rob will be on hand to keep Owen supplied with splitters

I mailed Claire on this and she is chasing up the post office, she is also making arrangements for entry to Rock if some or all of us don't receive tickets and we'll be able to collect replacements once we are there.

Moral: Don't trust the post office even via special delivery and send them out a week before the event if you want any chance of the post office's 48 hour delivery to be met within 5 working days

I use Special Delivery a lot and have never had problems. The tracking system is good too. Very odd that so many of the packages haven't got there.

Thanks for the update. We hadn't heard further from BritCar. I'm particulary interested to know what's in the bulletins because they're not on the website.
