This really does like an absolute classic. Race debut of the Audi R18 which if all accounts are correct is stunningly fast. Old rivalry with Peugeot picked up again, apparently the Pug is also a lot quicker than last year, but has had some enormous shunts in testing due to taking off...

GTE sees the race debut of the Evora against very stern opposition from 458 Italias, 911s, BMW M3s, Aston Vantage, plus Corvette and F430s in GTE Am.

60 cars is more cars than at Le Mans and Spa is an epic track. Only 10 euros too. Can't wait.

I can't wait, my first taste of real motorsport.

Going down with some mates from uni, we were on the formula student team together so all feel it's a natural progression!

Tv channels, covering it? Hahahaha lucky if we have 30 minutes on Eurosport. Its a shame Motors were only able to get Ricard and Estoril live.

Eurosport are offering delayed highlights packages of ILMS, Motors have picked up the remaining ALMS rounds with Long Beach being broadcast as live tape delayed next month due to timescale issues with the lateness of the deal. As Petit Le Mans is an ILMC round they will not be broadcatsing that.

Thanks. Do you know roughly what kind of drive time it is from the crossing?

Dunquerque or Calais to Spa should be around 3 hours, little bit more from Calais. So depending how far you are from the ports this side, it is easy peasy (motorway almost all the way there). Plenty of cheap accomodation around in formula 1/etap style hotels.
