Get their names shortened to MSC and HEI, when everyone else has the first 3 letters of their surnames? BUT, HAM, BAR etc.

Just wondering biggrin

Schumacher is MSC because of the days when Ralf used to race (RSC and MSC).

HEI is Heidfeld.

Ah yes. Was having a dim moment about Heidfeld.

And the MSC makes.sense now, thought it was a weird condition of his return or something random...

Do you think we should tell Formula One Marketing that Ralf stopped racing in Formula One 4 seasons ago?

No HRT have to believe Ralf is out there or they lose their dream of not being last all the time.

they considered changing it to SCU but decided otherwise for the sake of familiarity....was brought up in the commentary when he first came back or when ralf retired (also known as being fired/not being able to get a drive/delete as appropriate)

I just looked him up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralf_Schumacher

It's hard to believe now, that he was racing in F1 for 11 years!

I am sure you are correct, but what a stupid notion they had (and what else is new?).
Every year fans have to learn the 3-letter abbreviations of several new drivers. Sometimes that's required in mid-season. Schumacher is easily the most famous living racing driver in the world. They thought that people would have a problem remembering what "SCH" stood for?

Nah, they might get confused, just like Toyota did when they told the board room they had aquired "Schumacher's services". hehe

Interestingly, Karun Chandok has KAR instead of CHA.
