Morning all,

I'm looking for some advise on rally spectating as we're planning on going to watch the Kielder forrest stages next weekend.

I'm coming down from Scotland (west coast), so wondering what are the best spectator points for this event ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated....

I've heard pundershaw this year is going to be good as there has been a lot of logging so there is an area where you can see the cars for a few miles

I'm waiting on more information on this myself but once i get it i'll post up on here

Should be a good event. Actually starts on Friday night, but the stages are non-speccy.
I'll be at Falstone, then across the road in the afternoon at Chirdonhead to see the Historics......

Enjoy your trip!!

Falstone (Stannersburn) is a superb spot, really nice pub there too.

Old video we shot - shows the bridge and some sweeping bends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiQShXFd9TM

Thanks for the replies, beginning to get a better idea of where to head for at the weekend.....

Silly question perhaps, but what is access to the car parks like throughout the day, is entry/exit closed during stages,
thinking they might be for safety reasons if they're nearby the stage action......

Rally spectator newby ! :-)

My dad will be running the parking at Falstone (some proceeds go to the local fishing club) and it's a pay on entry system. You enter/exit on the same road so you just need to turn round to exit whenever you please - sorry no pistonheads discounts - I did ask !!.

Just a quick post to thank all those who suggested spectator spots for the weekend just passed.

We had a great day, although sadly missed the Faldstone stages as it took a bit longer to get down and find the parking, so took the marshalls advise and went upto see the Bowers? stages, before moving along the road a bit later in the afternoon.

Certainly be going back again, only negative I'd comment on is that the signs for the parking were only clear for those coming from the south... :-(

It did help right enough when we figured out the specator arrow colours. :-)
