Euro Rally Cross - 1st round Lydden Hill
Discussion
Well, excellent days racing yesterday..... and given that this year is 30 years since my first visit to Lydden Hill for rallycross for the Euro round way back in 1981, it was appropiately nostalgic to hear the warble of a 5 cyl turbo again with one of those new Volvo C30's.
Not quite the brutal sound of one of those old Audi's but pleasantly distinctive.
The Eklund Motorsport Saab 9-3 was also surprisingly quick in the hands of that new 19 year old Finnish driver
3rd FTD in the heats and on his way to a maiden podium in his first event when he picked up a puncture at the usual place....shame.
Clean sweep of victories in all 3 classes went to drivers from Norway as well.

Did Doran get the C4 sorted after his accident in the British Championhip round at Lydden?
Yes. He managed to qualify it for the back half of the A final, but got caught up in the do I/don't I go joker first lap mess on the run to chessons and was battling his new Russian teammate for the wooden spoon up until the Finnish guy in the Saab picked up his puncture.Forums | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
