Well i couldnt see a thread about the actual racing, im here again running a car.
There has been the test day on sunday.
What are your predictions for the race, hopes/wishes?
Free practice starts in the morning, so we are into it properly now.
Feel free to post thoughts and updates here.

I'm guessing another Ferrari win unless ACO want to spice it up and keep another manufacturer sweet with the BOP... If so I hope it is Cadillac as I have a bit of a soft spot for Jota.

I notice that AO aren't running in GT3 so no rexy/ roxy which is a shame and I think that they have retired spike from LMP2?

Richhead which team are you working for? or is it secret squirrel wink

There are ways you can watch for free, but you wont like them.

For me a great weekend, I hope Ferrari does not win, and I hope that in the first hour I do not see that bloody thing just pull out and pass people easily as I have seen for the last three years. They were slow on the test day, probably deliberately.

As for others, I wish Alpine to have a great race and Peugeot, I would like a few GT3 cars to break exhausts so the fans can actually hear them instead of the ACO forcing them to be quiet the stupid aholes.

A bit of weather to mix it up would be great but the forecast looks good, nobody to get hurt, and the dentists to be well behaved and not mess up a years work by being ego driven in the first lap

Its £45 for the whole wec championship, much cheaper than alot of other sports, and add free.

FP1 starting in a moment.

Hope everyone there has a fantastic time!

For the rest of us, enjoy the sofa time, beer, snacks, and hopefully some father's day pampering for the dads as well. smile

Quest is showing about 10 hours of live coverage, start, night and finish.

Yep, highly recommended and decent value.

Ad-free, full access to timing screens, choice of in-car footage etc.

I have done 34 LM visits but sitting in the Portugese sun watching the fiawec coverage does it for me these days (you never know we might still see WEC cars back at Portimao).

Well that’s the initial qualifying done with.

Doriane Pin is the real deal and I guess will step up to a Hypercar team fairly soon.

The dominant Ferraris 499s hobbled by BoP.

Despite that the Ferraris will prove competitive over 24 hours. Peugeot seem to be way off the pace but 7 manufacturers in with a shout of overall victory. Probably need to go back to the 1990’s to equal that.

GT3 ? Anyone’s guess.

HBO commentary has thus far been absolutely woeful

Painful listening so far

Don’t know if we’ll get the choice of channels and feed like we have previously for the race
