Think I read a similar post to this a little while ago but I couldnt find it again..
Anyway I'm off to the Nurburgring and was wondering whats the best route to take if you're after de-restricted autobahns?
Also, for those that have been before, do you need to get your headlamps altered so that they don't dazzle our European brethren? Or was it a case of just don't drive in the dark?

Any other info much appreciated

The fastest route from Calais doesn't include any Autobahns, as you are off the motorway and into country lanes by the time you hit the German border.

Whichever route you take, beware the Belgian roadworks. They go on foreverrrrrrrrrrr

The autobahns get mentioned for those coming in from the East, like
Yanks, from Frankfurt airport.
