I’m heading from Chorley down to Cornwall this week but stopping in Plymouth for couple nights to see some family on the way.
If I’m making good time come Exeter is it worth a detour through the Dartmoor national park, B3212 to Yelverton then down to Plymouth?
It’s already about 4:30 drive so if it’s a couple hour detour I probably won’t bother.

Yes - if the weather is good. If it is raining/misty then don’t bother.

There's a 40 mph limit across Dartmoor and lots of animals wandering about.
