Driving over to Stuttgart.
First night Reims for the GP pits and Champagne museum in Epernay.
Then looking for the best place to stay in the Black Forest as a nights stop before getting to Stuttgart.
Any recommendations gratefully received.

We spent a pleasant evening in Wolfach.
Good food and beer!

Your journey sounds exciting! For a stop in the Black Forest, consider Baden-Baden, known for its spa resorts and scenic surroundings. Alternatively, Freiburg im Breisgau offers charming old town vibes and proximity to the forest. Both destinations offer a range of accommodations to suit your preferences, whether you're seeking luxury spa experiences or cozy guesthouses.

I’ve stayed at the Hotel Rebenhof before in Baden Baden. Parking was decent, rooms were big. Bit old fashiony but was a pleasant stay.

There's a nice selection of restaurants/pubs in Triberg (home of the cuckoo clock). We spent a week in an apartment close by - lovely surrounding area.

Baden Baden is a good shout, lovely city with some great restaurants.

Durbach - small pretty town, great winery and amazing views from the castle.

Freiburg im Breisgau to stay then take the road to Schauinsland if you fancy a little windy squirt up an old hill climb route.

Do as much on the B500 as possible, its a great road but there are some cameras - not on the parts where the red and white armco is though! Oh and beware of bikers, they tend to use a lot more of the road than is maybe expected....

The B500 has some of the best tarmac I have ever had the pleasure to drive on

BUT the ridicules speed limit of 35mph is crazy

some amazing twist and turns and bends and dips but all spoilt but doing it at such low speed

we had bikers swerving back and forth behind us last year when we visited it - they were bored on it

but the views are amazing but its just left us underwhelmed

but had a nice break at Schwarzwald Hochstrasse and and a little wander around the little lake (Mummelsee)

but i wouldnt rush back
