I have recently moved to the area and am looking for some good driving roads. The A507 has some great challenging corners however the road surface is a bit of a letdown.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of good driving roads? Ideally either fast sweeping NSL roads or tight challnging ones.

The back road from Hitchin To Barton Le Clay is usually quite fun and once you get close to Pegsdon you can usually spot VXR Corsa rear bumpers in the hedge rows.

Baldock to Buntingford is fun if it's clear

All sorts of little lanes between Stofold and Ashwell/Steeple Morden, Littlington.

Lots of back roads between Baldock and Royston

A short but fun road btween Great Ashby and Weston but it is tight and blind in places, for a slightly longer run, start the road in Gravely and follow it to the Bungtingford Road, Follow that and turn north at Buntingford, then follow signs for Sandon and back to Baldock, then along the A507 to Meppershall, cut across country to Pegsdon and then back through to Hitchin.

Just to get you started smile
