Hi all!

For Father's Day this year, I'm renting a Porsche Cayman S 2014, 3.4 Litre car. It's a total surprise for my Dad who has always joked about someday buying a nice car to drive around the "Porsche Country Roads" in the Summer.

We've got the car all day on Monday, and I'd love to do a fun loop around some of Sussex/Kent's roads. The rental includes 200 miles max (although not sure we'd get through all of it), and the plan is to stop off for some lunch / coffee at some point, too. I'm not local to the area, so was wondering if anyone could suggest some nice roads to explore in the Porsche!

A google maps route would be grand to follow, but open to all ideas and suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
Chris

Hey sir,

There's loads of good roads but as always traffic can be a killer. Where are you picking the car up from? I live in the area you've described so can build a route from there.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply!

Picking it up just off Pembury road on the east side of Tunbridge Wells, just before the merge onto Pembury Bypass

Not a bad route this. You could extend down and go to Goodwood if you so wished. The half moon pub is a great stop so chucked that in for you

The A272 would not be my choice for an enjoyable drive out on a Sunday unless starting out very early in the morning. The first section from where it begins just south of Five Ashes isn't too bad but it gets progressively worse as you travel west. It's a major east to west artery and is riddled with traffic. North Chailey - Haywards Heath - Bolney is particularly dire.

This is where I would go.

Paragon Porsche in Five Ashes is a good spot for a photo op.

It also includes a tunnel, smile

Thanks for your response and suggested routes! They look fun smile

Just to flag we’ll be going on Monday, not Sunday (in case that makes any difference regarding your view on the traffic?)
