Calais to Champagne region of France

Plan to do a cool road trip with some friends in July...would like some recommendations on roads....lunch venue... for this 250 mile trip...plan to be @ Calais about 10.30am...any ideas would be really welcome..thanx in advance...Nick

La Faisanderie in Arras is just over an hours drive (on the autoroute) from Calais.
It is supposed to be the best restaurant in Arras. (I've not tried it)

Otherwise there is La Chartreuse - three different restaurants to choose from for three types of budget! That's about an hours drive too - as lunch normally starts at 12, you'll get there at just about the right time!
