Help! Best route to the Docklands (from Chelmsford)

Hello im just about to start working the Docklands in London and I was wondering the best route from Chelmsford. I will be starting at 8am so need to know the best roads to use at this time in the morning and how much time I should give to get there.

I was thinking A13 but not sure if to use the A12 to get their or down the A130 first im really not sure I have never travelled to London at this time in the morning.

Any help would be great.

A12 to A130 to A13 at sadlers farm (canvey island) strait down A13 into London follow in city airport then follow signs to docklands, used to do that route for about 3 years that was the best way i found
