Does anyone use the A1101 between Mildenhall and Bury St. Edmunds? One of my favourite local roads, sweeping bends.

Hi

Yes I am a fan but haven’t used the road since I worked in Mildenhall.

It has a good mix of bends and straights and when I used to use it didn’t have a huge amount of traffic on it.

I used to live in Fornham All Saints so I used this road virtually every day. Used to be great fun until Suffolk County Council had an extra large delivery of 30 speed limit signs and nowhere to put them. Road does get very bumpy on the straight between 5 ways roundabout and Icklingham though - does make overtaking slightly hairy if you're not aware

It's nice but too fast to have any real fun unless you're going mach#10. I think there is only one corner where you have to brake.

There are some great roads south of Newmarket if your interested (B1061, B1063)

Try the A1101 between Littleport and Outwell.
Or the A1123 between Soham and St.Ives.
