I'm new to this so any help and advice would be appreciated, planning a road trip down to Italy fo rthe Mille Miglia, with stop overs in Stuttgart, Lucerne and then on to Bergamo to colectthe Mrs from the airport.

I pretty much have my route sorted form Stuttgart to Bergamo but am looking for suggested routes to take form disembarking the ferry at Zeebrugge to Stuttgart.

Looking for a mix of everything really, tunnels, high speed, and scenic routes, any ideas would be appreciated.

Alos anyone else driving down 1st week in May?

Stuttgart is just east of the Black Forest and the B500 (starts Baden Baden) thats a must we are staying in that area at that time ..

Personnally I would run down to Swiss border thru the Black Forest B500 to Andermatt

thanks for that G Man, we had planned to stay in Lucerne before going on to Bergamo, so a run through the Black Forest will work a treat.

are you heading to the Mille Miglia or just doing a general tour?

We are doing a Black Forest and Vosge Mountain Tour on Motorbike ... work permitting

In the Black Forest we stay here http://www.pension-williams.com/ ... great value

If you are coming thru Luxembourg we have a brilliant country route to the Black Forest
