Greenwich to Greenwich - 1 hour blast required

For the occasions when the car's not going to get a weekend out to play, it'd be really handy to have a good route locally to have a blast down post-work. However, South East London seems to be a quagmire of speed cameras, road humps and traffic jams. Currently I'm having to make do with plodding down the A2 for a bit, turning off at a random junction then getting lost of purpose. I have found the odd fun road that way but does anyone know of a good circuit that would take about an hour?

Well if you can extend that to 2 hours, using 30 mins each way for getting to the decent roads then there'll be a lot more enjoyment to be had... Given your location you really need to get outside the M25 before you hit the decent back roads.

at least im not the only one. Getting lost is so much fun. New places every drive for me.

The only danger being I sometimes end up going through Thamesmead. Scary indeed
