I have finally moved over to the dark side and bought a BEV for commuting.

My Merc was coming up for some big bills, gearbox and brakes, so I decided to get rid. Recently changed jobs to be in the town centre so ICE made no sense, particularly when I generate enough electricity to cover the commute during the summer.

Dacia Spring Extreme, got a reasonably good deal.

Went for a demo on Friday, they had this in stock and I collected it Monday after work.

All good so far. Does what I need.

I feel like Dacia could put these out on similar terms to a SS car, i.e. fully maintained and insured for say £99 month for 5 years.

I think they'd still be worth £5k in 5 years time and they'd get tens of thousands out the door.

The financed deals never seem that great compared to the cash price I've seen for some of them.
