Hello fellow ‘heads!

Today I shall attempt to drive from Mid Wales to North Berwick in my Subaru Brat.

Recovery documents are printer and in the glovebox, but I’ll be taking it gently.

If you see me, give me a wave!

The latest chapter on whats possibly the most interesting thread on here.

It will be fine, as long as nothing falls off !

There's a good retro meet on over the bridge in Fife tomorrow, you should pop along!

And we’ve arrived!

310 miles with no problem. Made over regular stops for fuel as it’s still on a 25l auxiliary tank with no gauge.

Averages of 41.5mph and 31mpg.

Cruises happily at 60, but very loud. Think rear diff needs a rebuild, as rear wheel bearings replaced.

Some shots from the day.

I’ll be at Craptical Classics next weekend, and a few other shows this summer.

That's cool, I see one on my way to work that has survived well.

What's with the rear frame? It looks like it has been made for something specific?

The rear frame is to carry mountain bikes over the back of the truck, without the front wheels hitting the ground. It is removable.

Popped across to Fife for my first show. Bloomin cold, but great atmosphere and lots of interesting cars.

I’ll be doing a few others in Scotland this summer. If you see me, come and say hi.
