Porsche 718 GT4 / PDK / Ruby Star Neo
Discussion
Yesterday was a good day.
My partner and I picked up our first Porsche, after much deliberation and searching. Mainly for the colour and the specification as the market seems to be all over the place recently. We came across this GT4 in PTS Ruby Star, Buckets, PASM, Sports exhaust, Bose and so much more we're yet to find.
We still have our BMW M2 Comp, see here for the thread on this car. This is still very my partner's daily car as it just so capable.
As we've only owned the car a matter of days we have so much to learn about the car. We've already booked it in with Porsche Towcester in June to extend the warranty for another 2 years. The only changes we plan on making so far is a recent private plate purchase and to colour code the car key blades.
If anyone knows of any events or road trips coming up, any excuse to get the car out at the weekends. Here's some pictures for now from yesterday's collection and last night, I'll try and grab some more this weekend if I remember.

Lovely car! I was very tempted by a GT4 a month or so ago but questioned the sanity of another 2 seater with a young child.
Also considered an M2C as well, funnily enough, but for now I've been encumbered by analysis paralysis.
Are you local to Towcester? Probably won't miss that driving around

Update
Not much has changed since we took ownership around a month ago now. Plenty of usage as you'd expect with the recent good weather.
We're currently in the process of refurbishing a garage space which the car will remain 90% of the time. I've started to document and obtain pictures of the garage process which I'll share when it's completed.
We've managed to take the car to several smaller events; Podium Place - Porsche GB Coffee Morning, Caffeine & Machine - Celebration of Colour and a couple of other smaller events. I'd like to attend Porsche in the Park in July and perhaps one or two other local events. We do have a European road trip planned in June, which will end up in Lake Como. Naturally I'll document our adventure.
In terms of purchases for the car, a new indoor car cover in preparation for the garage. We also asked Porsche to colour match the key fob which they kindly obliged, small details make all the difference. Lastly my partners number plate has arrived, although the front plate isn't quite right so we've ordered another vinyl one. Considering a OPF removal in the near future, just need to read up on this process a little more. Any feedback or advise is most welcome.

It's been a while since we last updated this thread.
Not much has been changed to the car itself since the last post, most recently it's had the PPF replaced (track pack areas) - Fortunately we're fairly close to Nuovo Detailing who carried out the work and did a great job overall, we'll be back in a few months for a ceramic coating ready for winter hibernation.
Those that attended the PH Annual event at Bicester the other week may of seen it parked in the Supercar area. We had a great day, nice to chat to a few people on the day too. The car gathered a lot of attention, helped by the fantastic weather all day of course. If anyone has any pictures of it from the event, please do share them we'd love to see them.
The latest adventure was this weekend just gone, we decided to take an extended break/drive to Reims, for several reasons. Mainly for us to spend some time with the car and enjoy what Reims has to offer. We tried to capture each step of the journey!
We started off quite early on Friday morning, around 4.45am heading from Northamptonshire to Dover, we decided on the Ferry a) It's something we'd never used prior b) Much cheaper than the train, at the time of booking. We stopped at Mimms for a Coffee;

Made it to the Ferry.. No issue at all getting on which was a concern initially.

Once into France we decided to take the Scenic route, rather than the A26 to Arras, which was our first stop for lunch and a rest. Shame we mis-timed lunch as 90% of the restaurants we're closed, so we settled for a Smoothie and a short walk to stretch our legs, at this point our backs we're quite sore from the wonderful, yet rigid seats!

From here we decided to head straight into Reims to our accommodation, just outside the city centre which was great. French roads generally speaking are a pleasure to drive on, compared to some of the UK roads on the way down. The tolls are less fun, especially when my partner had to climb out of the car to grab ticket at least 6 or 7 times over the weekend. Good job it was sunny!
We found a great typically French Coffee Roasters, just off a picturesque roundabout in Reims, this was our primary stop each morning. For reference, it's Moklair Coffee - Recommend the Dirty Lavender Latte'

We explored Reims on Saturday morning, including a trip to Veuve Clicquot in the afternoon, a must visit for anyone thinking of going. We decided on Sunday to stop at Reims-Gueux (Circuit) to grab some photos and generally admire the history. In short, a great few days around France and the car was faultless.

Looking forward to the next trip soon, hopefully before the car is returned to winter storage.
