Recently joined here so i thought i'd show you what you a drive.
It's a 1992 civic lsi, it's not far from standard, just with a few tweaks and exterior additions that i expect a flaming for but it's a good mix for road use/occasional track and as i'm only 19 can't have a good balance of the two without paying in insurance.
Short shifter kit
Aem long ram induction system
Supersprint exhaust system and manifold
D2 coilovers
Front and rear upper strut braces
15" Rota slipstream wheels
Spoon style mirrors and front splitter
4th gen Honda prelude seats
OMP style steering wheel (currently waiting for a jdm integra momo steering wheel)
Awaiting B16a conversion at the moment (160 bhp vti engine, DC2 lsd gearbox)
This is how i bought it, try imagine it without the stickers and raised slightly; as thats how it stands now and my camera has packed in

Do you get a good deal on parts with those stickers?
If not...get rid.

nice car, any idea what they weigh?Edited by irf on Saturday 19th April 22:04
Knew i wasn't going to please everyone with the car but jeez read the post first
Yeah stickers are gone bar the teamspy one (bonnet and wing) as i thought it was subtle and brought the car out a bit from the crowd (amongst my group of friends ef/g/k civics are popular to say the least)
Stripped back it could weight just above 1000kgs but i still have sound deadening etc in mine and full road trim so i'll say 1150-1200kgs which by no means is a heavy load for a B16 engine to pull

Sorry Ross, as you rightly say I didn't read all the post... I still get rid of the other stickers and find another way to make it stand out!

Nice car. but i have to say i find differently about the weight... you'll grow old waiting for the engine to reach its powerband, unless you're really ragging it...Cheers for the comments everyone, as you can see the teamspy sticker is tiny and discreet, albeit not to everyones taste but hey can't please everyone
Once the B16 is in i'll be looking into making 190bhp or so in a circa 1065kg car (Did my research via a local weigh bridge today
Which will be more than enough for me (coming 20 with 2 years ncb) at the moment, and yes when in the right situation (Track, private land etc) I do enjoy the fun of working the engine for it's power.

What mods do you plan to do to get the B16 to 190hp?
Be firstly modifying my exhaust and aem v2 pipe to work with b series (requires o2 sensor mounts welded)Then will be going for (Not all at once necessarily)
A Good manifold
fidanza clutch and lightened flywheel
skunk2 inlet manifold (possibly throttle bodies)
ek9 pistons
crower stage 2 cams
That should hopefully see around that sort of figure with a remap to suit.
Making fitting the vti hubs and brakes the top priority (dare i say even before the engine gets dropped in) As there's no point in dropping the extra power into the car if i'm not confident that i'll stop.

Not picking holes here, just dont want you to be disapointed.

Good idea on a vtec conversion, but have you considered the H22a from the Prelude.
Thought about it but it's alot of work, when a b16 can be done over a weekend.I know of a few that have done this conversion and it's not the most driveable of cars apparently, also i have a full vti that i should be getting this week or next providing all goes well.

also well worth thinking about a helical diff. I had a quaife ATB in mine, was great
Yeah i have ZS disks sitting awaiting hubs to be fitted, My friend has a prelude for breaking so might go for the calipers, was either that or legend calipers.
Yeah once the powers sorted i'll be either going for launch control or a DC2 integra gear box (Shorter ratio and with lsd), Launch control 1st as my friend can write ecu's to include launch control (Quite a clever system, confused the hell out of the guy at the rolling road when he couldn't rev it past 3800rpm in 1st gear when the handbrake was on)
I forgot to mention i have the lsd short ratio gearbox from the D series JDM vti engine in my car at the moment.
