A Newbie of Sorts and his new ride...
Discussion
Hi all
After being a long time lurker (7 Years!!) thought it was finally time to sign up and post something, after the purchase of my latest car.
I've had a fairly varied car history over the years mostly with sub £1k motors to get me around, with the awesome exception of a GTi6, after my latest bargain banger decided to nuke it's own engine I thought I would actually invest in something for the long term... so decided to and get a Mk1 Leon FR TDi!!
Have wanted a Leon for years (though mainly in Cupra R form) but with my sensible head on I decided to go for the best option for this day and age when fuel is still running at silly prices. And i have to say so far, so very good. Its quick but frugal, well equipped, good to drive and practical (for the sensible family man in me!) And it's only got 66k on it, which ain't bad for a dieselm and got FSH too, with its cambelt done only 4k ago.. couldn't resist!
Took some pics after a quick jetwash on Monday when I picked it up, but it was on my rubbish camera phone, so looking to take some better ones over the weekend, after a proper scrub to remove all the tree sap it's picked up already : (

And that's about it really, glad to be finally part of the PH community and all the fun it's bound to bring
