Afternoon all,

Thought after finally signing up I'd share some pictures of my Trophy:

I've owned #433 for a good, relatively hassle-free nine months or so now, and it still makes me grin from ear to ear every time I take it out for a blast! Would recommend one for anyone who is remotely enthusiastic about driving (which I'm sure you all are wink).

Cheers,
Luke

That looks great, really nice condition, and nice photos as well. The Trophys do seem like great cars, I kind of wish I has up'ed my budget and brought one, though the 172 is fun anyway.

Very nice! My mate has a 172 cup which i did a track day in round Bedford a few weeks ago-awesome little cars. Are you planning on modifying it at all? Maybe a yozza exhaust... biggrin

Lovely example there, what is the exhaust?
As a full fat 182 owner I'm rather jealous of your Recaros!

Cheers for the comments guys - feels weird to be a n00b to a forum! Good to see a few other clio owners on here too.

Cheers. Ha, well I try to keep it as mint as possible, but make no mistake in thinking it doesn't get driven!

It is indeed mate, good spot - I live over in Shinfield. I'll take a look now!

Thanks. Absolutely, chuck is a great word to use actually, as they're so predictable when driving hard!

Excellent stuff mate, ashamed to say I haven't tracked it (yet!). Modification wise, it's already got a ktec system (although a Yozza would be nice!), panel filter, remap as well as uprated disks/pads/hoses. Thing is, with these cars it's very difficult to get power out of the the engine without spending big bucks! ITB's would be lovely though, and I'd be lying if I said I haven't been tempted to raid the piggy bank!

Suspension wise, it's seriously good as it is! A new rear ARB may be in the pipeline in the near future, just to make the back end more playful - but otherwise it's staying as it is! Wouldn't want to upset the purist's, after all wink

No worries Em. It's nothing special, just a Nikon d40 with a combo of a 50mm f/1.8 lens and 55-200mm. The 50mm's a pain to use with my camera though, as it doesn't autofocus!

Cheers mate. It's a Ktec silenced system IIRC (the previous owner put it on). It's ok, bit on the heavy side though and has started sagging in the middle! As said above, I'd like a yozza, they're bloody loud though!

Said mate swapped his Ktec for a Yozza yesterday, first impressions were that it's a LOT nicer. His Ktec had awful drone (as does another mates 172 avec ktec) and it really did smash your head to pieces after an hour or so. We followed a mod from the cliosport forums up to Bedford who had a decat'd Yozza. I really wasn't impressed with it's stupidly loud exhaust on tick over, it just shouted chav, although i must say it sounded great once actually going!

The 172 i drove round Bedford kept up with (and passed) more 'suspension' fettled 17/182s than both of us were expecting, so no real need for the ARB or suspension i'd guess....that said, i haven't driven a car with either! biggrin
