Ford Anglia Van

This is the other halfs Dads 100E van

Took 9 weeks from Shell to the picture below.

Currently has a 2litre pinto with 3 speed gear box (i think). Cosworth block + turbo in the garage as his winter project.

Really shifts, is RWD aswell will be awesome with new block if not a bit mental.

That's not an anglia though is it ? I only have functioning eye at the moment

Does it still have the vacuum operated windscreen wipers and drum brakes

ye my mistake was a 100e Van if a mod can change title <3

Hmm i think it does have drum brakes he built all the brake system himself.

Not sure about windscreen wipers although the water sprayers were a pain in the ass to fit

I'm no expert but I seem to remember 100E vans were called Thames vans but all 100E cars were either Anglias, Prefects and possibly Populars.

This. It would be a Thames 300E
IIRC the early two door 100E's were Anglias, then with the introduction of the 105E Anglia in 1959(Harry Potter style one ) they were rebadged as Populars. 4 door models were Prefects (107E)

My dad drove one of these through the Alps with a duff waterpump and latterly a blown headgasket; top ups and stopping to cool down every half hour!

ill get pics of inside. Original seats dash. motorised wipers though. It goes like the clappers.

will go like starship enterprise with oter engine.

He did an amazing job though shell to fully fitted in 9 weeks.

Hes got a b reg v8 rangerover aswell which, well id trade the missus in for great fun off roading it.

lol yeah... wipers go slow uphill and like a bat out of hell on the way back down.

Wow! Those are fantastic photos! Do you know roughly where abouts they are in the Alpes?
