My new "economical" commuter!

Following on from the above thread on my car history the LPG'd BMW has now gone, traded in against this 6mth old, 2,500 mile Cooper S with a few nice toys. Personally I love the colour, black roof and wheels and tinted windows and absolutely adore the interior colour, although not many others do. If I could have had red seats I would have! Switching from standard to black wheels was a deal clincher.
Cars performing very well so far. No its not as comfy as the BMW mainly due to the runflats which will go soon. It is also a pain having a car I now worry about again!
That said for my commute its ideal. DAB is great and is USB connectivity for ipod. Having full Bluetooth for the first time is brilliant and I can conduct many calls on my way home saving time in evenings! Looking forward to fully using the adaptive xenons in winter too.
The sat nav is great, so intuitive, and the traffic announcements that reroute you are spot on.
However the best part is the engine. It is so punchy, and very quick. With lots of low down torque it feels miles quicker than my old Cooper S, and in a different way feel it wouldn't be far behind my DC2, see other thread. Despite this epic performance I am averaging 41.8mpg over the past 2 weeks and 900 miles, even a sustained blast sees 35ish. Very impressed with this and this should get better as it loosens up further.
Overall highly impressed and think we will get on just fine as my fun commuter car for the next few years.
Let me know what you think...and before you flame me for chopping the BMW in (I did try and keep it too but resisted...just) I left a note in the V5 asking the new buyer to give me a call if he wishes.
Low and behold yesterday a gentleman from Manchester had picked it up and was loving it so far. All the car history is now enroute back to him. Project 200,000 miles is still on!
