My 400 HC Chim and Dads (well, kind of joint) MGB V8 Roadster, subject of a bare metal rebuild over the last few year!

8 cylinders, 7.5 litres and about 480 odd horses! Oh and lots of noise!

Any more pics/info of the MGB please? Looks super clean condition, very nice. smile

EDIT

Would I be right in thinking that it only just misses out on having black on white plates (or white of black??)

It is cars manufactured after Jan 1st '73 that need new style registrations. Unless this 'L' is a private reg it could wear silver on black plates.

Thanks for the comments!

The pictures of the B are on my laptop, next time im using it i'll upload some.

Its a Jan 73 car..JUST misses free tax frown

Dad has had it since it was about 5 years old, think he is the 3rd owner, the other two were friends!

Until we did the rebuild it was comepletely standard but we both decided that as we were going to be spending so much time and money on the old girl there was no choice but to give her the V8 she deserved!

It s 3.5 Vittesse lump (fully rebuilt with new bearings, gaskets etc etc) with a few bits and bobs coupled to a Vittesse 5 speed box (again fully reconditioned). The exhausts are bespoke with a pipe off each bank, so it has two pipes out of the back like my Tiv! It sounds awesome and goes as well as the TVR! Such a quaint and pretty looking car shouldn't be so quick!

Oh and the colour is a Suzuki red BTW! The interior is magnolia leather with a walnut dash smile

It's not one for the orginality brigade but tbh we don't care! Although every panel is original bar the outer sills! Dad always looked after her from day one and shes always been a summer car.

The car was my 21st present wink and is refered to as "the inheritance" smile

You've either got a kick ass Chim and the MG is engine less or you need to get out your calculator chief. laugh

Thanks smile

Well the TVR on paper makes 275 horses

Although not dynoed given the mods and the fact it is practically a brand new engine and as tight as a drum the B should make 200 ish....
