Behold, my forlorn 325i Sport G23 TKX -- not quite a barn find. The sister of the Dolphin Grey/Black Leather Sport G24 TKX, which sparked my interest in cars. For a working class lad whose Dad was a mechanic, seeing the Dolphin Grey Sport excited me hugely and I was lucky enough to drive it regularly once I got my licence, giving it a Cypriot tune up on the A3 to contrast the sedate driving style of my aunty.
I was then gifted this as an anniversary gift in 2008. It had belonged to my cousin and both black and grey were once company cars for the sales reps in Suffolk -- being supplied by Carr's of Bury St. Edmunds. Here they are in 2007, wearing my cast from a massive crash at Castle Combe in a motorcycle race in which some t
t moved under braking into the hairpin and took out my front wheel with his rear.
At some point in 2015 I put it in a garage and it has probably cost me about £8,000 in storage fees since!
Around two months ago I pumped three of the tyres which I could access and they seem to have held air.
This evening, I'm doing a recon charge of the battery to see if it has any life.
It seems as though I'm threatening to finally turn my attention to getting it roadworthy, particularly with a show of intent in getting a thread up and running, but we'll have to see how far we get with this project in the summer of 2026... confirming that it runs would be a nice start to a rolling resto -- obviously there are concerns about fuel lines, belts and rubbers etc. At least it has been dry stored.
Ideally, it'd become a useable rolling resto which I can take to car shows etc and not be too precious about. Forgive me, PH brethren, I know that I've let the side down thus far.

I had a Delphin Grey manual sport back in the day. Wonderful thing.
Do see if you can fit a slightly faster rack if you need to replace it. The two things I would have changed on mine would be the rack (which was a bit slow) and the lack of AC.
Would have another in a heartbeat.

I never had AC and never seemed to miss it. The rear pop out windows must've done a great job of creating a venturi effect for air flow! It has a sunroof, too. I had a Delphin Grey manual sport back in the day. Wonderful thing.

As for the steering, once again I never really had an issue with it. Perhaps my experience will have changed over the years but I never had any real complaints about it. Probably because it wasn't worth much, I didn't worry too much about maintenance and I just ragged it everywhere!

No, Dolphin Grey with the black interior is my favourite spec but this is the one I ended up with. I still think that it's great. And any 325i E30 deserves to be saved.
Although I think you have some blackness in your garage.
