Just picked this up today after trading in our old 9 year old GLC350d with 63K on it.

It's a 2025 with 9000 miles on it and has got the big 31kw battery on it and well, the tech has moved on hasn't it !!

I wanted a premium plus hybrid but my wife wanted the neva interior so...we now have a Premium hehe

Why PHEV ? Well it's basically my wife's car and she does less than 15 miles a day, so the 350d was completely the wrong engine for her even though it never gave us any issues in the time we had it. But I think with the range on this c70 miles means that we'll use little to no petrol now.

Am going to need a day to go through everything like setting up profiles, registering fingerprints and doing the whole digital key onto our phones so we can leave the keys at home.

First impressions are it's very nice to drive and damn quiet. I tried to persuade her into an electric GLB but she has range anxiety (I know i know) so I'm going to use this as a way to get her used to the whole running on battery and plugging in and then in a few years I think she'll be more comfortable

Pics..

Driving back from the dealership, it did this

I know !

She does (maybe twice a year) go and see her Sister & Husband who live not far from Burwash, so that's maybe 200 miles and that's enough for her to be worried, so slowly slowly on getting her used to battery

Nice one, and I hope you both enjoy it. thumbup

I do like the GLC, and we had 5 years and over a 100k miles in the 2017 model 350d as well.

I've driven a few hybrids now, and I do really like the idea of them for doing the shorter runs only on electric.

I took it into the office today just as a test more than anything and did the return trip from the Chew Valley into Bristol and back again (24 miles in total all on battery) and it still has 55 miles battery range left....bonkers. Once we get used to it and the urge to take it for a drive dies down I reckon we'll only have to charge this once a week.

Must admit it's getting me converted into Battery only as a commuter for myself, its all just so easy....(sorry lee ! hehe)

I do still have this as a counter-balance biggrin

What's the Neva interior?

And what happened with the warning message, just gone all by itself?

Neva is the name for the light interior. Not sure what you mean by the warning message ?

If you mean the not ready to drive message, that shows after you turn it 'off' but don't open a door to shut it down
It's just saying you need to press the start button to turn it 'on' if you want to move the car again

Yes, the "not ready to drive" one you posted on your first return, when you said "it did this" I was then expecting some sort of discussion with the dealer, fortunately not it seems!

The pale interior really does lift it, looks great all round!

The light interior is lovely. And very rare.

Most modern Mercs are like driving round in a cave.

I had a Merc - it was a 2005 model facelift C Class estate (so S203) - some time ago and the thing I really liked about it, and many people commented positively on, was the entire interior was light grey. I mean everything - the full door cards, carpets, seat belts, steering wheel etc etc, apart from the odd touch of brushed aluminium.

When I bought it, (it was an ex-MB management car) the salesman apologised that it wasn't black inside, and knocked a bit more off the price!
