Roofrack, Vinyls etc should be finished by the weekend so will update as we go. Glassman should also have worked his magic on the van ready for the ext London meet too.

I have been driving it on and off for a few weeks and am getting quite attached to it.

Can swallow and R6 no trouble. Took it camping this weekend and it was great. Slept in the back no bother whilst the peasants in their tents enjoyed the Welsh Rain.

The fairly close ratio box and the weird driving position makes its oddly enjoyable to drive when empty

Depending on how eagle-eyed you are there are actually 2 Mk1 golfs.

big soft spot for these, my formative years were spent fanging the shyte out of the works one which had a sacrificial A0 ream of Wiggins Teape paper in the back for handling! I rolled it once on a sharp left hander in the wet. Got out pushed it back over with my mate and we carried on our merry way!
