Just picked this one up last week, the dealer didn't realise it was anything special so I got it for a normal Mark 1 price.

More photos and info in the MX-5 section.

Well done. Has to be THE Bargain drivers' car. If you got it at normal roadster price, all the better!

I though Eunos was the imported version but not sure how the spec is different.

The RS had a few basic differences like a lightened flywheel, Bilstein suspension and kevlar Recaro bucket seats. As special editions go, they weren't vastly different from other MX-5s but infinitely better than the UK special editions that consisted of tartan gear lever gaiters etc!

Cracking buy, enjoy it!

Do these have the Torsen LSD's or the sloppy old viscous ones?

Just fitted the new wheels and tyres (8 x 15 Rota RBs, 215/45 Toyo T1R's), touched up the RS badges where they'd faded and given the whole lot a polish all ready for Japfest.

So far this and the Momo steering wheel, tonneau cover and coilovers are all that's gone on. Still haven't fitted the new stereo, stick-on number plate, clock, bootlid spoiler, new RS badge or red cam cover, and have yet to paint the calipers.
Haven't even ordered the white dials or front splitter.

Yes and I'm not selling!

I've kept the original wheels too, both they and the seats are in need of refurbishment.

Are you on the nutz stand @ Japfest? Or just in the carpark? I'll keep an eye out

Will be on the MX-5 Owners Club stand. Area QR club display according to the ticket on my desk. (Mental note: Don't forget to put it in the car before the morning!)

Jealousy. biggrin

Really fancy one of these, if I can find one that is!! Finding an untouched one with the seats intact is even harder... Makes an mx5 something very special IMO.

Absolutely love these cars, never even been in, let alone drive one. It's on the list of cars i must drive.

I never knew there was a RS version, you must have been so chuffed to find one, especially when you realised the seller didnt know what he had. RESULT

Enjoy!
