Ooh I do like these. Bloody cheap for what you get too, apparently the V6 engine is one of the better ones to go for.

What's it like on servicing costs? I was looking at a 147 or a 156 next but it would be the 2.0 TS model - and the servicing costs scared me most!

Love these cars, good value for money. Always wanted one but could never pluck up the courage to buy a front wheel drive with 250 bhp boxedin

I've got a 156JTS, servicing isn't too bad use Alfa Tecnico in Derbyshire, collected my car after it's service and MOT yesterday, service is about 130ish, which isn't too bad, belts are usually around the 400 quid mark, not had car long, and belts have another 20K before they need changing again.

Well I have had the 2.5 v6 156 in the past and the 3.2 in the GTA is in another league to be fair. The engine is an all time classic. I had a 3.0 GTV, but the GTA is much better put together than my GTV was.

My 2.0 156 in the background has been played with a bit, now goes at approx 188bhp and servicing isn't really too bad. Even the belts can be done for about £350 at an Indie. It's the suspension components that don't last long in my experience.

Looks very nice mate. What have you done to the 2.0 to get it to 190ish bhp? Wasn't aware just how tuneable they are.

One of those great cars that only die hard Alfa nuts tend to buy.

Hi mate, C&B cams, Unichip, GTA air intake, Decat, Raggazon back box. Comes in just under 190 bhp.

To get any more power starts to cost big money.

Was it worth the expense? Not entirely sure but I have had it over 4 years so I've got my monies worth.

Jez, seen your GTA in the classified. How come you're selling it literally days after you bought it?

Ah, the memories. GTA + tunnel = smile

Get yourself over to www.alfaowner.com if you haven't already.

Also, get a Q2 diff fitted (circa £500 fitted) if the car doesn't have one. It transforms the car!
